Week 8 & 9

This weekend, we had our annual family vacation at Possum Kingdom. We had a great time! It was especially fun this year because it was the first time all our 7 brothers & sisters (and therefore all the grandchildren) have been together in many years. When you have a such big family, it is hard to get everyone in the same place! We were also glad that my dad's cousins and their families decided to attend the vacation this year! We don't get to see them very often so it was a nice treat.
We enjoyed the relaxing weekend and had plenty of help with Avery! Pop Pop and Grandma Sue always make the vacation so much fun for the kids. They participated in a scavenger hunt around the hotel and also played a game called "Elementary School Bowl." The kids had to answer questions ranging from family history to Texas geography and they received money as a prize. There was also lots of swimming, fishing, and of course money ball! We can't wait until Avery is old enough to participate in all the festivities.

Pop Pop and Grandma Sue had their hands full with 13 grandchildren

My sister Julie and my sister-in-law Misty

I think we have a future football player on our hands!

This was the view from of the lake from our hotel. It was breathtaking!

Aaron was magnet for all the kids! He just fits right in :o)

All the kids loved the two babies - Avery and Maci

Hunter was especially fascinated with Avery. He loved to stare at her and stroke her feet & hands

Avery and her cousin, Maci. Avery is only 1 day older than Maci. They almost had the same birthday - Avery was born on May 19th and Maci was born on the 20th at 12:15am!! I am sure they will have alot of fun together when they get a little older.

My sweet niece, Allison could not put Avery down. She is the oldest of the grandchildren and was a great help this weekend. She is a big sister to 3 younger siblings, so she has lots of practice. She is going to make a great mother someday!!

Aaron and Avery having a serious conversation

What a sweet angel!

My sister-in-law Misty has 3 year old twins, so she is a pro at holding two babies at once!

Lauren and Melanie, my college friends came to visit Avery this weekend. Yes, they are twins. Melanie is pregnant with a boy and due in a few weeks!
